On the Mac the log-in screen is accessed by typing “option-d”. I was able to log-in using the password you furnished but that opened a screen with only 4 choices:
Manual Activation (greyed-out, not active) Mobile IP (greyed-out, not active) Field Test (active but not useful for forcing EVDO mode) QuickAccess (active but not useful for forcing EVDO mode)
Do you know if there is some other way to force EVDO using the Mac version of VZAM.
Thanks, Ron Engelsman

There was a movie I think was called 50 First Dates about a young woman who had a memory problem and her guy had to start romancing her all over again every time. That’s something like my Mac and cellphone situation. I have the same phone Bluetooth-paired with my son’s Blue and White G3 running OSX 10.3.9 (Panther) and it works fairly reliably if you ping the whole session. Tried to pair it to my G4 Graphite running 10.4.11 and it sort of works, but only for that session! I have to re-install and re-configure the pairing EVERY time I want to get on the Net on my own computer, which is maddening because Microsoft was in on the interface for the Sprint Samsung Upstage and IMHO, screwed it up. I can’t run it on a data cable to the Mac AT ALL so I tried Bluetooth, with this result. With Bluetooth, the Mac gives a pairing code number I have to punch into the Upstage very fast or the Mac gives up waiting for it. The Upstage interface, instead of asking me to flip the phone over to the button side, makes me go through one of the SLOWEST ways to enter the numbers on the graphical side I have ever seen. It sometimes takes 10+ tries to get the timing JUST right and by then I’m so upset I don’t even want to be on anymore. Can someone give me a clue how to make the Mac’s Tiger Bluetooth system and the Sprint Samsung Upstage Bluetooth system remember each other from session to session??
Oyeah - I’m using two of the same model Belkin Bluetooth USB adapter, one in son’s G3 Panther machine and one in my G4 Tiger.
Thanks - Jim
